Ants

Ant
Ants are one of the most common pests in and around homes. There are many different kinds of ants with varying habits and biology; thus control can be difficult.

Ants that find food will lay down a chemical trail for other ants in their nest to follow. They can enter homes through any opening or crack, even the smallest of openings, to find food and water.

A colony of ants can be hundreds of thousands in number, hiding in lawns, walks, under foundations, in trees and logs, and almost anywhere in and around your home. Some colonies can live as long as several years to 15 years, with smaller colonies splitting off from a main colony. Swarmers (new kings and queens) will also leave the nest to form new colonies.

Different kinds of ant require different control approaches and treatments. Contact a professional to assist with your ant problems.
